Makita Cordless Power Tools
Makita cordless power tools have proven themselves as some of the highest quality power tools
that money can buy. Just look at who makes the majority of the tools that you see at just about any given jobsite.
I don’t know about you, but every time I turn around, it seems that almost all of the cordless power tools that I
see in a construction area have the big old Makita logo on them. I guess this is no big surprise, since in my
opinion (along with many other people’s) Makita cordless power tools offer amazing performance and durability,
especially for the price!
Most of the Makita cordless power tools come with a very high quality lithium-ion battery,
which is one of primary reasons why Makita tools are so popular amongst serious construction companies. It is no
big secret that the Makita tools can be run for a very long time before needing to be recharged, especially the
Makita cordless drills (which are probably the most common tool currently manufactured by Makita). When it comes to
construction and jobsites in general, the last thing that you want to worry about is the battery going dead on the
cordless power tools that you are using!
There are many different types of Makita cordless power tools and models, but here are the most popular ones
currently on the market:
The Makita combo kit: By far the most popular cordless Makita tools are the combo kits (or
sets). Generally these combo kits contain all of the most popular types of cordless tools that are practical for
every day construction (or for general home repair or improvement). What you will usually find in a Makita combo
kit (for example, in the popular LXT combo kit) are the following tools: a cordless drill, circular saw,
Reciprocating Saw, impact driver, cut off saw/grinder, flashlight, and a battery(s) & charger.
Makita Cordless Drill: Other than the Makita combo kits, the Makita 18v cordless drills are
hands down the next most popular of the Makita tools. All of the cordless Makita drills are extremely powerful,
especially considering how amazingly compact that they are. Most of them only weigh a mere 3 - 4 lbs. on average.
Also, almost all of the higher end Makita drills feature a hammer mode, which makes drilling through concrete
(among other things) extremely easy. This “hammer drill” function is very similar to how the Makita impact driver
functions, and it is a must-have for just about any construction job involving concrete or bricks.
Makita cordless reciprocating saw: Last but not at all least, the cordless reciprocating saw
(also known as a “sawzall”) is another one of Makita’s extremely popular cordless tools. In my opinion these are
the most impressive out of all the Makita cordless power tools, for the simple fact that they can do exactly what
they say they do, which is saw through virtually anything and everything. But the fact that a CORDLESS power tool
can do this is downright amazing. And when it comes to reciprocating saws, Makita has plenty of great models, all
of which are EXTREMELY common to see at most jobsites (or even in most people’s garages, for that matter).
